Federal prosecutors and a defense attorney differ on what punishment they think is appropriate for a former Knoxville police officer who induced a woman to make child porn images of her little girl.
Defense attorney Gregory P. Isaacs argues client Dan Roark, 48, should get the lower end of an agreed range of punishment — 262 months or nearly 22 years.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Kolman of the Knoxville office is urging U.S. District Court Judge Katherine A. Crytzer to impose a 300-month or 25-year term.
The judge is set to sentence Roark on May 2 in federal court in Knoxville. Both lawyers have filed sentencing memos for the court to consider.
