BOWIE, MARYLAND – A woman fatally gunned down her husband inside their Maryland home after allegedly finding text messages that indicated he was having an affair.
Nicole Lanett Ward, 50, is charged with the murder of her husband Damian Ward, 53, after the couple got into an argument inside their Bowie home on July 19.
Charging documents seen by Fox5 said that Ward told officers, who arrived on the scene, that she found a second phone belonging to her husband.
On the device, she ‘found photos and messages indicating that the decedent was having an extramarital affair with another woman,’ according to the documents.
She told officers that after finding the phone, she told her husband to ‘pack his bags and leave the house’.
