The suspect in an east Alabama double murder and kidnapping investigation has been transported back to Lee County from a Tennessee jail after waiving extradition, Auburn police confirmed Thursday.
Aaron Dontay Williams, 41, was taken into custody Friday, July 11, in Giles County, Tennessee, in connection to the kidnapping of his 4-year-old son, and the murder of his wife and 13-year-old stepdaughter, both of whom he shot.
It was a welfare check that brought police to the Auburn home, where they found something of nightmares.
“They located two homicide victims: a deceased adult female and a deceased juvenile female,” Chief Michael Harris of the Auburn Police Department said. The victims were Tyeisha Williams and Zy’nnya Wright, Aaron Williams’ wife and stepdaughter.
